What happens after we connect
Every system has a piece. You get the whole student.
The easy version of this product is one assistant per vendor, with your team still doing the reconciling. Quilt puts the pieces together first, the same way every time.
- Every record knows which district it belongs to, and the dates it was true for
- A vendor’s quirks stay in the connector and never reach your answers
- An answer reads the same whether your neighbour runs Synergy or Infinite Campus
- Adding a new source doesn’t change how anything else works
How a connection works
We read. We never write back.
A connection isn’t a data dump. Each asks for the narrowest access the vendor allows, and tells you when two sources disagree instead of quietly picking one.
- Read-only. Grades, attendance and enrollment stay authored where they’re authored today.
- A narrow credential. The least access the vendor offers, never an admin key.
- The source system’s own rules. Who can see what comes from your roster, not from a settings page someone has to maintain.
- Disagreements surfaced. When two systems hold different values, you see both and when each was recorded.
- Nightly or near-real-time. Whichever the vendor supports. Every answer states when the data was pulled.
Running something that isn’t on this list?
Most districts do. Tell us what it’s and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can read it, and how long it would take.
