Is this just ChatGPT with our logo on it?
No, and the difference is the entire product. ChatGPT has no idea who you are, what you’re allowed to see, or what your board policy says. Most of the work here isn’t the model. It’s connecting your systems, joining them into one record per student, enforcing your permissions on every request, computing metrics your way, and citing every claim.
We use frontier models, several of them, routed by task, the same way a bank uses a database. The model is a component. The governance is the product.
What does it take from our IT team to get started?
Less than you would guess, because we start narrow. A founding-district start is single sign-on, one read-only SIS connection, one assessment source, and a folder of documents you already have. Most districts are answering real questions within about four weeks of the agreement being signed.
We don’t ask you to replace anything, migrate anything, or change how your staff enters data.
Where does our data go, and who can see it?
Your data stays in your tenant, isolated at the database, storage, cache and index layers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Model providers receive only the minimum context needed for a request, under enterprise terms with no training on your data and defined retention.

What happens if a staff member asks about a student they shouldn’t?
The request is denied before any data is retrieved, and the attempt is logged with the user, the resource, the decision and the reason, exactly like Tom Keller above. The model is never handed the record and asked to be discreet. The tool that reads student records simply refuses to execute.
What does it cost?
There’s a free tier that runs on your district’s public record and needs no agreement at all. Beyond that it’s one annual subscription, $4,000 for a single school, or $3 per student for a whole district. Unlimited staff accounts, unlimited questions, no per-seat licenses and no usage meter.
What if we want to leave?
You export everything. Your data, your document library, your metric definitions, your audit log. Then we destroy our copies on the schedule in the agreement, then certify it in writing. Your district owns and controls its data at every point. That isn’t a courtesy. It’s the contract.
